Candidate for
Member of the State Assembly; District 59

My guiding beliefs are that:

• People are our greatest resource
• Regular people can do great things as we have proven time and time again + if we approached people and seek to get them involved
• Everyone deserves a chance to succeed
• Working people must have a voice in government and be treated with dignity and respect
• Government must play an active role in our society
• California cannot cut its way to prosperity + we must all pay our fair share; starting with closing tax loop holes for the wealthy
• We must invest in the industries of the future + today

While our community continues to suffer from high unemployment, struggling schools and dwindling State services, we have active community-based organizations, strong churches and an abundance of long-time, committed residents who want and demand change. In addition we have assets like the University of Southern California (USC) and Exposition Park that can be utilized to improve the quality of life for all residents in the 59th District.

With my experience in the community and Sacramento, I have the values and knowledge to make our State work for our people at the local level.
