New Vision for Civic InvolvementBy Dmitri BelserCandidate for Council Member; City of Berkeley; Council District 3 | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
True civic empowerment comes from civic involvement.Residents of District 3 do not feel heard, and as a result, do not participate in what is going on at City Hall. Civic involvement is THE issue facing our neighborhood. I will appoint youth and disenfranchised people to city commissions to involve them as part of my civic engagement initiative. I will also be reachable by the residents and responsive to their comments. I don't have all the answers. What I do have is a willingness to listen, and the intelligence to make the right decisions. I will try hard to address the real needs and issues in District 3 and to work for the greater good of all our residents. I will return your calls! |
