Candidate for
Board Member; Martinez Unified School District

I am running for the governing board of Martinez Unified because I believe in setting an example for my children through positive active involvement within our community. I am a California native, educated in the public school system, and graduated from the University of San Francisco in 1993. I am married and have three children attending school in the district.

I have served on the elementary school's PTA Executive Board for six years, served on two of our site's Site Councils, volunteered time for one of our sports programs, and am an active volunteer within the community. I have been a small business owner for ten years. I understand the significance of balancing work, personal and family life.

I have been endorsed by Board Vice President Vicki Gordon and Board President Bobbi Horack for my everyday insights into our schools, for my knowledge regarding our fiscal history, and for the energy I bring towards developing the ongoing vision of our district. As your governing board member, I will strive to promote an environment where all stakeholders are given equal consideration and look to support the academic and social development for every student in a fiscally prudent manner.
