Education and Qualifications:

I am co-owner of Smith Family Farm. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree from Sonoma State University.

Three generations of my family have attended Knightsen School. My mother, myself and my son have all valued our experiences and education in such a unique nurturing setting and want that to continue for many more children in generations to come.

I strongly believe a school such as Knightsen, needs to continue to support our youth and restore programs that have been lost to the state budget crisis. Activities, such as a quality music program, that will positively influence students for many years, are needed now more than ever. My desire is that Knightsen School will maintain it's independence, not be absorbed by another district and it will continue to provide a high educational standard for future graduates.

If elected, I will be responsible to the community and its taxpayers, ensure that the district is fiscally sound, and its decision-making is transparent to the community. I will work to involve Knightsen residents, parents of the students, and the staff in discussions leading to our decisions. I am pleased to be endorsed by the Knightsen Teachers association.
