In 2008, I ran for our Healthcare Distict Board to"Save the Hospital", Marin General Hospital. I won and we did that! In 2010, MGH separted from Sutter Management, and we have been going strong since. Now, we plan to build a new, seismically-safe hospital, complete with modernized facilities and advanced diagnostics. I will work hard toward that end. I grew up in Sacramento, served in the US Army in Germany, finished school in So. California, did my Internship at San Francisco General Hospital, then a Residency at Kaiser-Permanente. During my active-practice years in Marin (1971-2006) as an OB-Gyn, I delivered tons of babies, helped many women and their families get healthy, and I participated in Medical Staff governance. I was Chief of the Medical Staff 1983-85. I have donated a lot of-money and countless hours of work toward the betterment of MGH. I was Chairman of the OB-Gyn Dept at MGH, taught at UCSF(clinical), once on the advisory Boards of Planned Parenthood and the American Cancer Society. This Marin Healthcare District Board is the best there has been in over 30 years. Ann Sparkman and I want to keep that ball rolling. Please vote for the two of us this November. HFS |
