- Why I Am Running For Santa Barbara School Board
-
I am the reform candidate who is committed to overhauling the antiquated tenure and seniority rules and to hiring, training, evaluating and retaining the very best teachers for all students. I am also committed to upgrading curriculum to ensure all students are proficient in the core academic subjects, such as English, math and reading.
- Release Teachers Union Questionnaire and Answers
-
All candidates for the SB School Board should release their answers to the union questionnaire relating to tenure, seniority, merit pay, teacher evaluations (based partially on test scores), charter schools and vouchers. Since the school board will be collectively bargaining with the teachers union, it is important the voters know our positions and what we may have promised the union.
