Get the Montecito Fire District the best it can be, best fire coverage, best management, superior financial responsibitlyI am running for Montecito Fire Protection District Board to assure continued superior fire protection coupled with responsible financial management. As a resident of Montecito since 1996, my wife Patty DeDominic and I have enjoyed the semi-rural area so dear to all of us. I served 5 years as Board Member and Treasurer of the Montecito Association where I worked hard to maintain our community's unique character and uphold the Montecito Community Plan. I served three terms on the County Grand Jury reviewing local governments and special districts to make sure they were fiscally sound and well run. I have an Accounting degree from Liszt College with post graduate work at UCLA and USC. I served for 30 years as top executive in the National Food Service Industry; Art Gallery owner for 20 years; currently Treasurer of the Santa Barbara Symphony Association and volunteer Business Counselor to Entrepreneurs with SCORE (US Small Business Administration). I have the personal skills and experience to help ensure that the District uses its funds wisely to maintain the best services for all residents. I will work to see that our District's fine reputation and performance record will not only be continued, but enhanced. |
