My top three priorities for SJUSD:

1. Providing a 21st Century Education for Our Kids

I understand the challenges our schools face in preparing students for a 21st Century economy. A career in public education has given me the experience and intimate knowledge of our local community to help implement these changes as a member of the school board.

2. Recruiting and Retaining the Best Teachers

My experience as a principal taught me that attracting, training and retaining the best teachers for our classrooms is the most important thing we can do to help our students succeed. I have a track record of making our local public schools the primary destination for our community.

3. High Expectations and Accountability

With an advanced 21st Century curriculum for our schools and the best teachers in our classrooms, the final steps are setting the highest expectations and demanding the corresponding accountability.
