Candidate for
Council Member; City of El Cajon

I believe we can revitalize the City of El Cajon by: 1) Preparing a Marketing & Economic Development Plan to and rethink our economic priorities. 2) Focus on the economic redevelopment of 2nd Street, Broadway and East Main by developing corridor revitalization plans. 3) Revise the Downtown Specific Plan to reflect the new financial realities of our time. 4) Reopen the East County Performing Arts Theater with a long-term sustainable plan that needs little if any taxpayer subsisdy.

I am a fiscal conservative. We have a balanced budget with a 20% reserve fund. The city has been very careful with taxpayer funds and that has paid off in maintaining basic public safety services.

I believe in helping our local businesses be a success by minimizing regulations. This has paid off with the recent opening of the new Mossy Volkswagen dealership and the new Kenworth Truck dealership.
