Infrastructure and Economic Development- Water is a critical resource, when building homes, businesses or growing crops. Working closely with public agencies to understand water resource needs is my top priority. Making the right decisions to allow access to infrastructure can spur our local economy, grow our local businesses, create jobs and increase property values. I understand the critical role water infrastructure planning has on our local economy and pledge to always favor outcomes that encourage investment and smart growth within the Vista Irrigation District service area.

Pension Reform- Throughout California, state employee pension benefits have ballooned out of control. Our state needs leadership willing to stand up to employee unions to demand reasonable solutions to the pension crisis. I will always treat VID's employees fairly and with respect, but I will work to ensure that we, the rate-payers are fairly represented.

Accountability- Politicians at all levels lack accountability. At the lowest levels of government, it is especially important that politicians allow public oversight of their actions. As your representative on the VID Board, I will fight to ensure that all records of official board and staff activity are public record and quickly and accurately available on the VID website. As an entrepreneur who has worked closely with internet technology, I believe I can play a central role in improving VID's public records and customer service portal online to make interacting with your account and your agency easier.

Fairness in Contracting and Ethical Behavior- I pledge that as your representative, all public contracts will be let without unfair or undue influence. I will not tolerate corrupt practices personally, nor will I be a silent witness to them. If elected, I pledge to maintain the highest level of personal integrity in the performance of my duties.

Statement of Interests and Conflicts- I have no personal interest in the decisions made by the VID Board of Directors, nor do any of my associates in business. I have no relatives or friends employed by VID. I pledge to be your independent voice on the Board of Directors, free from internal influences.
