My philosophy as a member of the Pine Valley Planing Group for the last four years has been very simple.

Our communities of Pine Valley, Guatay and Mt. Laguna are unique historical back country communites far removed from the political center of the County. Our Planning Group is our representative to the Board of Supervisors. We are the voice of our communities.

When some Supervisors sought to dismantle the Planning Groups at the behest of some vested interests, your Planning Group and our Chair, Vern Denham ,were in the forefront of the fight to maintain our communities voice before the County. We were successful.

When the opportunity to save The Meadow behind Hwy 80 and the downtown area of Pine Valley presented itself, the Planning Group was instrumental in putting the County together with the owner which resulted in a sale that will maintain The Meadow in perpetuity as Open Space.

Our Planning Group is a coesive, experienced and fearless group of local citizens of all three communities who will continue to represent our interests before the County, not the interests of outsiders seeking to exploit the very reason so many of us call Pine Valley home.
