My Goal for Delta Community College is to communicate the need for involvement of parents and students in fundraising for their educational needs. We all are aware there is a budget shortfall in the State regarding resources to fund classes; ie Delta College teachers salaries, books, supplies, health benefits for all, and the tax paying citizens of our diverse community who are seeking to complete their education and expand their career choices.

Resources are in short supply, and we should be aware of how we spend or how we are wasting valuable dollars on certain projects or funding of events that do not produce positive results or returns for Delta College.

The community should be seeking input into Delta College, and how it can help to increase the flow of finances into its coffers to support our students, rather than as a bank or"Cash Cow" to draw from as it has been in the past.

Another important issue that is troubling is an increase in crime on the campus involving the trespassing of non-students. We need to increase our police department.
