Strengthening City Finances
In these difficult economic times, maintaining the financial strength of the City is undoubtedly one of the most important duties of a Council Members. I have the background and experience to do that effectively.
Supporting the Proposed Academic High School in Camarillo
The Oxnard High School District has proposed building a 700 student Academic High School in Camarillo. The City has a major role to play in bringing it to reality. I support the new High School as well as making sure Camarillo High School receives its fair share of improvement funding from the District.
Supporting Reasonable and Commonsense Growth Controls
Like many California cities, Camarillo receives a number of proposed growth projects annually. The job of a Council Member is to evaluate those proposals and determine the future course of action on that proposal. This position paper sets out the criteria I will use to begin the evaluation of the project.
