Candidate for
Member of the Board of Education; Burbank Unified School District

I am a proud Burbank resident, parent, and professor at Woodbury University.

I am running for the School Board to guarantee that all of Burbank's children have access to the best public education. We must ensure the highest level of academic achievement from our schools, small class sizes for individualized learning, and the most professional teachers and staff on all campuses.

As a member of the School Board I will work to implement a seven-point plan to SUSTAIN our schools.

1. Sustain and expand opportunities for all students.
2. Unite our community through diversity.
3. Safe schools for all of our children.
4. Technological advancement at all our schools.
5. Alternative materials and energy that make our schools green.
6. Integrity of the budget process that holds the School Board accountable to the parents and residents of Burbank.
7. New ideas that prepare students for the new millennium.

My experience as an educator and as someone who has worked in both the public and private sectors has uniquely prepared me to serve on the School Board. This will enable me to lead with innovative and creative energy and to build consensus through public-private partnerships.
