Jeff Sommer has lived in Chester County since 1985. He is a partner with Buckley, Brion, McGuire, Morris and Sommer and serves as the Chair of the Litigation Department. Jeff has responsibility for a wide caseload of civil defense, municipal, land use, zoning, and environmental litigation.

Jeff has extremely broad and extensive trial experience, having tried over 75 cases to verdict in favor of his clients. He has litigated cases ranging from federal civil rights actions, municipal litigation, insurance defense, and real estate tax assessment. Jeff has conducted numerous jury trials, bench trials, commercial arbitrations, and appellate matters. Jeff has received Martindale Hubble's highest ethical peer review rating.

Jeff is one of few attorneys admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court.

Jeff has extensive experience in the arbitration process with successful results in a variety of cases/specialties. He has significant experience in mediating cases and securing favorable outcomes through the alternative dispute resolution process.

A graduate of Lehigh University and the Widener University School of Law, Jeff put himself through law school by working as a law clerk for The Honorable Mason Avrigian and later for the Honorable Richard S. Lowe, President Judge in Montgomery County.
