Bottlenecks along Driver Ave Kanan Thousand Oaks intersection and Sumac Mariposa area
Agoura Hills is a small enclave community in the Conejo Valley. We are fortunate to enjoy our quality of life, our beautiful backdrop of LadyFace Mountain and the home of Chesebro National Parklands. However we are faced with large city traffic flow problems. Our streets are unable to handle the traffic density we are facing on a daily basis. Over 8000 daily car trips transverse Driver Ave between Argos and Chesebro Monday to Friday during peak school hours. 24 minutes to travel along Kanan from Oak Park to the 101 Freeway a distance of less than 3 miles, frustration and traffic issues along Eagleton Sumac Mariposa school sites. The traffic problem is going to get worse unless we find strategies to handle this matter. We need to improve shuttle services to service these schools, increase parking spaces within the campus sites sheriffs to direct traffic at the school sites or incentives to parents and children to take buses if they live out of district. We need to all work together to get this problem solved. We all want good quality of life.we all want excellent schools. We need a solution!!
