Jeff Gee is a licensed architect, and Vice-President of Swinerton Management & Consulting, part of the Swinerton-family of companies, focusing on providing program, project and construction management services to public agencies. With offices throughout Northern California, clients include: cities, counties, school districts, community college districts, and special districts/agencies. His corporate responsibilities include serving on the Board of Directors for Swinerton Builders, and as a Trustee on the Swinerton Incorporated Retirement Committee. Prior to joining Swinerton, Jeff was a vice president at Degenkolb Engineers, a west coast structural engineering firm, and worked at the University of California Berkeley, where he was responsible for the design and construction program for the entire campus. In addition to his work responsibilities, Jeff brings a unique perspective to his public clients. In November 2009, Jeff was elected to the City Council in Redwood City, and is currently serving as Vice Mayor. In addition to his city duties, Jeff is also the Chairman of the San Francisco Airport Community Roundtable, serves as the Vice Chairman of the Peninsula Congestion Traffic Relief Alliance, and serves as the Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors for SamTrans. He also serves on the boards of two non-profit organizations: the Ring the Bell Foundation and he is President of the Board for Broadway By the Bay. As a member of the Asian-Pacific Islander Caucus of the League of California Cities, Jeff was appointed to serve on the Public Safety Committee for 2103. The Public Safety Policy Committee reviews both federal and state legislation and issues and makes recommendations to the League Board of Directors related to law enforcement, to fire and life safety policies including emergency communications, and to emergency services including ambulance and disaster preparedness. The Committee uses existing League policy, annual conference resolutions and the knowledge and expertise of individual committee members in order to recommend policies in these and related areas. His other leadership roles include serving as a Director on the Board of the Ring the Bell Fund. The Ring the Bell Fund is a non-profit organization that has been founded to help provide much-needed funds for schools to have monitored fire alarms connected to their associated fire departments or fire districts, and to have sprinklers in the schools to maximize safety and minimize property damage. Jeff also serves as a Director, and is the current Chairman of the Board of Directors for Broadway By the Bay (BBB). Broadway By the Bay is the only major musical theatre company between San Francisco and Palo Alto producing full-scale musical productions using local talents. Broadway By the Bay is committed to producing the highest-quality shows while maintaining accessibility to our community through affordable ticket prices. In its 48-year history, BBB has received numerous awards and countless acclamations, but none as valued and important than the continued patronage by the community. |
