Continue to support responsible budgets and demonstrate our continued commitment to fiscal responsibility .Maintain first class services to the residents of Springfield as we have done in the past with only modest and in some years no township tax increase. Additionally, we have aggressively pursued GRANT money from the State Federal and County governments. Several examples of GRANT money used can be seen at the Library and Township building with the addition of solar panels that dramatically reduce Springfield's energy costs. Furthermore, GRANT money was used to support our Environmental Committee in adopting "Best Management " practices to address storm water management. GRANT money has and is being used to support additional police protection--Currently we have an initiative to combat drug and alcohol problems. I am able to apply 35 years of experience in the financial industry to my position as Township Commissioner. This experience and skill sets have been a valuable asset in working through budgets and our continuing objective of fiscal responsibility . |
