Growth and DevelopmentBy Denise DelmarCandidate for Member, City Council; City of Sierra Madre | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
Limited to no development until our dire water situation is improved enough to sustain any additions to our current population.I have experienced the negative impact that over-development has on housing prices, safety, and the quality of public schools, and I pledge to work towards encouraging thoughtful development that allows our town to prosper and remain vibrant. I have spent over 4 years updating our General Plan, the blueprint for all Sierra Madre development for the next 20 years. I will ensure all development follows the General Plan policies as they apply to housing mass and neighborhood compatibility, and the protection of our hillsides and wildlife. I will advocate for limited to no development until our dire water situation is improved enough to sustain any additions to our current population. |
