For the first time in 20 years, we have the opportunity to elect someone who grew up here and knows the challenges and opportunities we face. With 30 years as a resident of the 1st District, 8 years as a U.S. Marine, 4 years as a First District Commissioner, and 5 years as a City Council Deputy, Ricardo has the experience and leadership you can trust to serve the families in the First District as their Council Member in the city of Long Beach.

As your next Council Member, Ricardo Linarez will:

• Fight to fully restore public safety funding. Long Beach has lost over 300 police officers and fire fighters over the last 5 years. Let's use upland oil funds for these and other restorations.

• Increase Career and Business Opportunities. Let's bring resources to our own community for job training programs that will create careers with living-wages. Let's cut the red tape at city hall for business to thrive and provide jobs in our community.

• Invest in Our Infrastructure. All the neighborhoods will share the same progress of downtown like improving streets, sidewalks, and other infrastructure needs.

• Increase Community Involvement. Ricardo has facilitated the creation of 6 new neighborhood associations in the past 4 years. He has developed and trained over 100 new neighborhood leaders. Ricardo will bring true transparency to the decision making process by including 1st District residents to participate.
