BALLOT DESIGNATION

I am a veteran, former City Councilmember and retired local businessman who has always answered the call to service.

I served in the US Air Force for two decades as a commander and rescue pilot. As a businessman, I managed one of the area's largest private employers. On the City Council, I pushed to include businesses in our economic development strategy and fought for fiscal reforms to get the City budget under control. That fight may have cost me re-election, but it was the right thing to do - and would have averted the current budget crisis. I also served on the Board of CSU Chico's Center for Manufacturing Excellence, and the Chico Rotary Club; where I helped raise $150,000 to assist local students studying for technical degrees.

As your Supervisor, I'll put all of that experience and all of my commitment to work tackling real issues to protect our water, boost our economy to create jobs, invest in education, and help make safer communities.
