Education and Qualifications:
In 34 years living in San Jose, I saw the population almost doubled, yet the police force reduced from 1,400 to 900. The crime rate is increasing while there aren't enough officers to respond to residents' cries for help.

Due to economic slowdown, residents in District 7, the poorest in the city, suffer the most and need help to find jobs and affordable housing.

As a candidate for council, my goal "Bring City To The People" is to:
1. Make City Safe: Cut wastes and increase budget for police, fire and safety services;
2. Good Living: More affordable housing
3. Fair Employment: More job training. Bring businesses to the district;
4. Improve Education for our children and ESL for the disadvantaged.
5. Better Health Care for all residents.

For 22 years working as an attorney, advocate, and community activist, I have assisted many poor and disadvantaged people in our district. As a council, I will bring abundant resources of the city to the people in need.

I have always been a fighter for the poor people, and will continue to do so at the council forum. And I need each vote from you. Thank you. Tam Nguyen, MBA, JD.
