What is MERS?
Imagine banks running a separate, secret land title registry which allows them to change ownership of your loan to anyone they choose. Guess how that is turning out?
Can our Precious Land Title Records Be Saved?
Every time a mortgage assignment is entered into the MERS system without payment to the local county recorder for the recordation of same, the county loses revenue and the ability to accurately track the information.
