  • My name is Efraín Meléndez, and I was born and raised in Arizona. I'm bilingual: English/Spanish.
  • I graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science Degreee and Secondary Teaching Credential.
  • I earned a Masters Degree in Education and Elementary Teaching Credential at Cal State University - Los Angeles.
  • My career included teaching in grades 9th-10th and 3rd -6t in three different school districts in California.
  • My experiences included working as a math/science resource teacher through a NSF grant, Coordinator for Title 1, Bilingual and GATE programs.
  • I served in the US Army, AZ National Guard and CA Army Reserve.

  • Maintain a collaborative relationship with staff and the community in setting and achieving LVJUSD Vision & Goals.
  • Committ to the Local Control Accountability Plan, LCAP, to sustain and monitor resources to achieve District /School Goals.
