Political Philosophy for Kathleen Marie (Coates) Hedberg
Candidate for |
||||
|
In Summary:
1. Water Rates: Keep rates low, make sure new projects are cost effective. After 9 years with the California Drinking Water Program I am qualified to ask the right questions to make sure the rate payers money is spent wisely.
Kathleen Coates Hedberg is running for the Helix Water Board because she has the experience and commitment to serve the people in this District well. Kathleen is concerned about the District's future and knows that we need to strongly consider and evaluate alternative water sources for irrigation (i.e. parks and golf courses, etc.) such as recycled water and groundwater. As well as, continuing to research and support other resources for drinking water (i.e. desalination and groundwater supplies).
Kathleen has been working in the water industry since she was a teenager, when she began interning at her father's civil engineering firm. With her experience with the State of California Drinking Water Program and with Aqualink Water Systems she has evaluated and inspected water and recycled water systems in several counties, and countries. This insight has given her a wealth of knowledge that will assist her in the proper evaluation of water systems and alternative water supplies to ensure that all systems are constructed properly and in accordance with regulations.
"The future of the Helix Water District is of utmost concern to me since I plan on watching my two children grow up here". |
