Building long lasting relationships, integrity and goodwill are the principles that guide Sam Hindi in his personal, professional and public life.

Sam and his wife have lived in Foster City for 23 years, where their three children attend schools in the San Mateo Foster City School District.

Sam holds numerous volunteer and leadership roles in Foster City, including: Vice-chair Foster City's Parks and Recreation Committee, team leader for Foster City's Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and Chair of the Board of Directors for the Foster City Chamber of Commerce. Sam is a graduate of San Mateo, Foster City, Burlingame and Hillsborough Leadership Program.

As a small local business owner, Sam owns Hillsdale Arco, ampm, and Hillsdale Arco Auto Repair in Foster City. Sam prides himself on his customer service skills and customer satisfaction is his driving principle. Prior to acquiring Hillsdale Arco, Sam was the President and CEO of American Couriers. He started American Couriers from his one bedroom apartment in 1988 and built it into a multi-million dollar company, serving ten states.

In his free time Sam enjoys the company of his family and friends, whom he finds to be the source of his energy and inspiration. He also enjoys outdoor activities, especially cycling and skiing.
