Candidate for
Board Member; San Mateo County Community College District

As former Board President and current Community College Trustee, I work collaboratively with those seeking an education as well as those seeking to provide that education. My goals remain to expand offerings; ensure access to classes for our diverse community; and to advance our core mission of transfer education, workforce training and basic skills development. My education background spans more than 20 years throughout San Mateo County, including service as Board Member and President of the San Mateo County Office of Education and leadership positions in both the San Mateo County School Boards Association and the South San Francisco PTA. I am a strong supporter of the newly created Veterans Resource Centers on each campus and worked hard to bring Middle College High Schools to each College, both which expand access to otherwise underserved students. My contributions to the community have been recognized by a variety of organizations including local schools, the Soroptimist International's Distinguished Woman of the Year award and induction into the San Mateo County Women's Hall of Fame. I work diligently on your behalf to improve the quality and accessibility of collegiate education in the County and ask for your continued support on Election Day.
