This is an all mail-in election. Ballots will come with SASE envelopes. Early voting sites may be accessed by going to http://www.shapethefuture.org. You may return your voted ballot to any City/Town Hall in the county beginning October 6 through November 2 during regular business hours. You may also return your ballot to the Elections Office at Tower Road or the County Clerk's Office at 555 County Government Center in Redwood City. Ballots may be returned at those two locations on Saturday, October 31, from 10 am to 3 pm. Ballots may also be returned up until 8 pm on Election Day.

    To maintain our community commitment to existing small class sizes, high quality teachers and comprehensive academic programs, and renew the expiring educational special tax, shall the Menlo Park City Elementary School District continue to levy at the current annual rate of $201.38 per parcel, spent only on teachers and educational programs, beginning July 1, 2016, adjusted annually for inflation, with an exemption available to individuals 65 and over?

    Measure B Re-Authorization/Replacement of Parcel Tax -- Brisbane Elementary School District (Tax - 2/3 Approval Required)

    To maintain the exceptional public education offered by our schools, shall the Brisbane Elementary School District renew its current parcel tax of $119 with a $12 inflation increase by levying a special tax of not more than one-hundred thirty-one dollars ($131) per year per parcel of land as of July 1 of each year (with exemptions for parcels owned and occupied by a person 65 years of age or older, upon application, and with a partial exemption for resident homeowners living on multiple [up to 3] parcels, and for certain property exempted by law), to facilitate (1) providing a music teacher and an art teacher, (2) providing teachers and instructional aides to assist and support students with reading and core academics; in addition, if funds allow, (3) providing additional library and instruction resources to schools; provided that none of the proceeds from this measure shall be used to pay for District administration; in connection therewith, shall the annual appropriations limit of the District be raised beginning July 1, 2016, and ending June 30, 2022, in an amount equal to the levy of said tax for said year?

    To prepare for future student enrollment increases beyond the current 2,938 students and maintain our community commitment to existing small class sizes, high quality teachers and comprehensive programs, shall the Menlo Park City Elementary School District levy a supplemental special tax of $2.20 per parcel for each additional student, to a maximum of 213 students, spent only on teachers and educational programs, beginning July 1, 2016, adjusted annually for inflation, with an exemption available to individuals 65 and over?
