The Highlands Rec Center is currently and unfairly under fire. Many community residents halped develop a Master Design Plan over the past two years. This Plan is intended to be a guide for long range planning at the Rec. Despite what other candidates are threatening, the Plan will not, and cannot, be implemented in its entirety in the near future. The Plan does include many excellent options for the continued enhancement of the Rec.

The Rec is more financially sound than ever! There are more Rec users and more programs available than ever before. The Rec still offers the best bargain around for Highlands residents.

The Rec has made significant improvements in its appearance and accessibility over the past four years. There is more which must be done to comply with Federal Regulations on safety and accomodation of the disabled. Please help ensure that these and other improvements are executed.
