Principals and teacher leaders are critical to the success of any school, and they need the support of a responsive central office.
Principals and teacher leaders need professional support, tailored to the needs at their sites, and responsive district services that meet the needs of, and are accountable to, the schools. I was the principal at Hillcrest School and the director for Educational Leadership at St. Mary's College, so I understand school leadership.

My leadership as a Board member will empower the superintendent, the school sites, and the central office to think creatively and effectively to solve the myriad problems that face urban schools.
