The sewer system is on the mend. Zoning laws must be followed.By Bruce J. ObbinkCandidate for Councilmember; City of Pacific Grove; Full Term | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
Pacific Grove has had difficulty with an aging sewer system. Property values in Pacific Grove are on the rise. Our sewer system is on the mend, but we can't contine repair and replacement without money, and our city's financial resources are strained already. It doesn't make sense to eliminate or reduce the utility tax - we all need that source of revenue now more than ever. Everybody wants to live in Pacific Grove, and our property values reflect that. It is not unreasonable for buyers to want to build as much housing as zoning laws will allow - but the laws must be clear and fair and uniformly enforced. |
