Candidate for
Board Member; Morgan Hill Unified School District

While my children were in school I served as chairperson of the school site councils at Nordstrom, Martin Murphy & Live Oak. I served for 8 years as chairperson of DACIE. I was home & school president and actively involved at all three schools. I have served on many different district committees, including the strategic plan, bond committeees and budget advisory. I coordinated Live Oak safe and sober Grad Night for 3 years. I have been involved both in and outside classroom for over 15 years. Our family is committed to public education, My husband, George,is President of the Live Oak Foundation. The foundation has awarded over $400,000 in educational grants to innovative teachers in the district. We continue to strive for "excellence in education." My mother in law, Phyllis Thomas, Live Oak head counselor for many years. My sisterinlaw is a teacher of 25+ years in the district. Our children graduated from Live Oak, just like there Dad and Grandpa.
