About Nancy Knight

I am 59 years of age. Bill and I have been married for 42 years. We moved to Murrieta with our two sons in 1976. I was accepted to UCR as a re-entry student in 1978 and graduated in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science degree. I entered the field of medical diagnostics, specializing in immunochemistry. During my career as an R&D scientist, I continued my education and earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of LaVerne in 1996. I am now retired from my profession.

Our family launched The Murrieta Bugle in 1998 and expanded our community news publications with the launch of the Temecula and Lake Elsinore editions of the Bugle in 2001. I have been serving the community since 1998 as the editor for the communities public relations articles.

Bill and I have two grandsons and a granddaughter who are being raised in Murrieta. I have had the privilege of serving in the "Principal for a Day" program at Alta Murrieta and was impressed with the quality of our teachers and the technical equipment our children are exposed to at an early age. I was also impressed with the quality of the volunteer support that enhances our children's experience at school. I understand that high quality educational systems are indirectly provided by cooperative efforts from all sectors of the community. For this reason, I am certain that we can improve on the County provided programs for career development of our high school students. I have a vested interest in our schools and the future of our children.

My campaign budget is low and I am not soliciting financial contributions. In fact, there will be no candidate statement for me in this election because the fee exceeded one thousand dollars. I need your word-of-mouth support in this grass roots campaign in order to become your Trustee.

Many people in our community never exercise their right to vote. You can help by urging them to vote this time. The vote of your neighbors can make a difference in this election. I am asking for your support and your vote for Nancy Knight on March 2, 2004.
