Board Member; Wright School District

As a parent active in the Wright District for 16 years, including 12 years on the Wright District School Board, I would be honored to continue my service on the Board.

I have gained valuable experience during my three terms on the Board. I have provided leadership as Board President. I have served on all standing District committees, including those dealing with curriculum and planning, employee bargaining, budget, facilities and policy. I have joined in Board actions to reduce class sizes, add eight instructional days to the school year, adopt rigorous academic standards, and maintain the District's fiscal health. I have worked to ensure that the Board's decisions raise the already commendable level of instruction in the District.

In my fourth term, I will continue to promote the educational growth of each student in our diverse community. I will work with the Board to strengthen accountability, enhance instruction and educational programs, provide extra support for students in need, and prepare for growth in the District.

I pledge to be open-minded, fair, available and responsive to the Wright District community. I will honor our District's tradition of providing an excellent education for all of our students.

Durante mis tres términos en el consejo, he obtenido valiosa experiencia. He ofrecido dirección como presidente de este consejo. He trabajado en todos los comités permanentes del distrito, incluyendo los comités sobre el programa académico y la planificación, la negociación con los empleados, el presupuesto, las instalaciones y la formación de políticas. He participado en las acciones del consejo para reducir el número de alumnos por salón, agregar ocho días más de instrucción al año escolar, adoptar rigurosas normas académicas, y mantener el bienestar fiscal del distrito. En mi cuarto término, continuaré fomentando el crecimiento educativo de cada uno de los alumnos en nuestra diversa comunidad. Trabajaré con el consejo para fortalecer la responsabilidad fiscal, mejorar la instrucción y los programas académicos, facilitar más asistencia para los alumnos con necesidades, y prepararnos para el crecimiento en el distrito.

Prometo ser abierto de mente, justo, accesible y receptivo a la comunidad del Distrito de Wright. Honraré la tradición de nuestro distrito de ofrecer a todos nuestros alumnos una excelente educación.
