University of San Francisco, BA, 1975 Married, two grown children educated in Danville public schools from 1983 on Municipal Bond Assistant Underwriter, San Francisco, 1980 to 1987 Retired in 1987 to stay home with the children and trade individual stocks on a personal basis Moved to Danville in 1983, was happy with Congressman Ron Dellums, but 1990 redistricting ultimately replaced him with Congressman Bill Baker Sought out the local Democratic Party organization seeking to replace right-wing Congressman Baker with a Democrat in 1994 Part of the movement that worked to elect Ellen Tauscher to replace Congressman Baker in 1996 After 2000 redistricting placed Danville in Congressman Richard Pombo's district, supported Elaine Shaw's 2002 effort to replace Congressman Pombo Part of the movement that worked to elect Jerry McNerney to replace Congressman Pombo in 2004 and 2006 As Chair of the Democratic Party County Central Committee (The Democratic Party of Contra Costa County) in 2003, coordinated with other interested organizations to Get Out the Vote opposing the Recall. After being told that Contra Costa County was going to approve the Recall, the coordinated efforts led to a 57% NO on the Recall vote.
