Candidate for
Board Member; Menlo Park Fire Protection District

I graduated from MIT with a Bachelors of Science and Doctorate degree in Materials Science. Thereafter, I worked in the semiconductor industry for three decades. I have long-standing experience in fiscal operations and management gained as a senior manager at National Semiconductor. At National, I managed several $50 million dollar per year business units. Under my leadership, each group improved profitability and revenue.

Following my tenure at National, I was CEO of multiple start-up companies. In the early 1990's, I co-founded a groundwater remediation company that went public on the NASDAQ in 1994. Currently, I am CEO and co-founder of a development-stage low cost water purification company.

My son is a Lieutenant Colonel with the National Guard stationed at Fort Benning, GA; he oversees combat training provided to Guard members. In 2006, he received the Bronze Star for his efforts in Iraq. My daughter is an attorney with the Santa Clara County Public Defender's Office. I have resided in the Bay Area for thirty years, and lived in Menlo Park since 1998.
