Anaheim Teachers' Choice for Anaheim City School Board The son of a teacher, Al learned early on the value of hard-work and civic responsibly. Since 2007, Al has served as an Anaheim City Commissioner working to promote and encourage the arts and culture in the city of Anaheim. He's rolled up his sleeves to work with neighborhoods organizations helping to inform citizens on development issues and keep streets clean. Al has also led two non-profit organizations raising funds for community projects and scholarships for needy students. Al currently works serves community families as a Health Program Administrator for the County of Orange. Education has always been a passion of Al. He is a product of public schools, culminating in earning a Bachelor's degree from CSU Fullerton and a Masters in Public Administration from CSU Long Beach. Al knows education is the key to good jobs and improving our quality of life. Now raising a family, Al and his wife plan to send their young daughter to schools in the district. Al is running for Anaheim City School District to ensure that all kids in local neighborhoods have top notch educational opportunities. Al is especially committed to fighting for 21st century, comprehensive education including the arts, music and social studies; fiscally responsible budgets, reduced class sizes, special education services and modernized classrooms. Al is proudly endorsed by Anaheim Elementary; Educators Association; Anaheim Secondary Educators Association; California School Employees Association; Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez; State Senator Lou Correa; Orange County Sheriff Sandra Hutchens and a large bi-partisan coalition of elected education leaders including Anaheim City School District board members Dr. Jose Moreno and Jeff Cole. |
